You don’t have to change your gateway provider if you’re happy with who you’re with. However, you can change the payment processor (Acquirer) with ease and integrate with300+ shopping cart provider, website building platforms and EPOS providers.
This is called a MID only and FREE of charge.
With Elavon payments, yes you can. You can even apply for a new online card processing account which will act as dual MID (Merchant ID) that you can add on card machines at a later date, saving you even more money.
No, the card processing rates for online are the same as offline, you may not have been aware of this as some providers do charge a higher rate in general for online payment processing.
Yes, there are a number of options for taking online payments. Some are pay as you go where you pay a higher processing rate, other options include 30 day rolling agreements with favourable rates.
